I love myself immensely

After being beaten, humiliated, abused and intimidated.

For a long time, I thought love was hurtful and complicated.

For too long, I wanted to fall in love and many times I fell and fell again.

Worn out, I begged for love, validation and admiration.

Until one day, 8 years ago, caught between life and death, my soul was disillusioned. Only then did I understand the simplicity of the verb “love”.

We don’t have to fall in love, we just have to rise… in love, plain and simple.

We don’t have to look for love outside ourselves, we must become one with it, because it is within us every step of the way.

We must cherish it, honour it, and cultivate it every day like a garden.

Today I take great pleasure in fashion, photo shoots, physical fitness and the beauty I see in me.

Some will say I’m narcissist or bragging, but I say thanks to life for no longer finding myself ugly or not good enough…

I say thank you to life for this body and the looks it gave me. Today, I cultivate my intellectual curiosity and my passion to learn and understand.

I read, learn, create and question.

Some say we should stop thinking too much or watching the news.

As for me, I say thank you to life for this thirst to learn and understand.

I say thank you for this intellectual acuity that allows me every day to make my wildest dreams come true.

Today, I cultivate my soul and my spirit. I meditate, center myself in my “asanas”, I take walks in nature and travel to inspire me.

I cultivate meaningful relationships that lift me up and I am thankful for the richness of these exchanges.

Some people think I am difficult to approach or inaccessible; I say thanks to life for knowing how to impose limits and cultivate my soul with love and parsimony.

Finally, I nurture my uniqueness by accepting the fact that loving myself comes with a risk of being judged and not understood by some.

Loving oneself may sometimes seem futile or exaggerated given the importance of performance and comparison nowadays, but God knows how good it tastes to love oneself ENTIRELY all the time.

I will never be more or less than you. Everybody should be able to honour themselves and dare to write and shout: I LOVE MYSELF IMMENSELY!

If this text reaches out to you and speaks to you, share it and dare to show your colors by writing these words as a simple hymn of life.

Let us judge less. Let us love more. Love will always be the ultimate weapon against wars and humanity destruction.

I LOVE MYSELF IMMENSELY

Marc
